Senior Construction Manager | Atlanta, GA

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager in Atlanta, GA who can lead our labor crew and subcontractors. Additional responsibilities include daily scheduling, maintaining the safety and compliance of a construction site, and supervising all activities. Our ideal candidate has at least 7 years of construction field experience with leadership skills in managing general contractors highly preferred. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities on large scale Data Center project.
• Supervise project superintendents, foremen, and crews to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety regulations, and timelines.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to address unforeseen delays or issues.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, conducting regular safety audits and meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and address any challenges.
• Review and approve work progress, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.
• Resolve any field issues that may arise, including scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, or technical challenges.
• Oversee labor, equipment, and material usage to ensure optimal efficiency and cost control.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and provide on-site leadership and problem-solving
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project status, including updates on budgets, schedules, and any deviations from the plan.

• Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Data Center experience or sub-station commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, and safety regulations (OSHA standards).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a large field team.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly in the field.
