Responsibilities

The Safety Manager in New Albany, OH supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.

  • Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project, ensuring OSHA compliance across all trades and subcontractors
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Perform accident investigations, reporting, and corrective action follow-up
  • Lead daily audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor and enforce safety practices around Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, Excavation, and other high-risk activities
  • Collaborate with project leadership to implement and enhance site-wide safety programs

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
  • Degree in a safety-related field or CHST/ASP/CSP certification preferred
  • OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510/500 a plus
  • Strong understanding of general construction safety; knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO, and NFPA 70E a plus
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-risk activities on active construction sites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
