Safety Specialist

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to support our commercial construction projects. If you’re passionate about driving compliance, ensuring worker safety, and making an impact in the field, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities:

• Boots-on-the-ground safety oversight on active construction sites

• Conduct daily safety audits and inspections

• Participate in weekly Toolbox Talks led by the general contractor

• Review and manage permits, including:

  • Fall Protection

  • Scaffolding Safety

  • Hot Work

  • Lock Out/Tag Out

• Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) or equivalent assessments

• Investigate and document project incidents and near misses

• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience

• OSHA 30-hour in Construction required

• First Aid/CPR certified

• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and field compliance

• Must have experience with Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation

• Excellent communication and documentation skills
