Responsibilities

The Safety Manager in DeSoto, KS supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.

  • Oversee all aspects of the commercial construction project within the pharmaceutical facility ensuring OSHA compliance
  • Conduct daily safety meetings
  • Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
  • Daily safety audits and inspections
  • Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
  • Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years of construction safety management experience

    • OSHA 510 certification

    • Proven incident investigation and CAPA management experience

    • Experience coaching safety professionals and contractor supervision

    • Strong knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    • Microsoft Office proficiency with basic data analysis capability

    • Ability to work onsite full-time in DeSoto, KS

    • Authority and confidence to stop unsafe work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

  • OSHA 500 Trainer certification

  • CSP, CHST, CIH, or similar credentials

  • Pharmaceutical or GMP construction experience

  • Experience with behavior-based safety programs and contractor scorecards
