Responsibilities

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to provide onsite safety support for a mechanical construction project. The project scope includes crawler crane setup, gantry installation, utility hookups, pipe racks, and other mechanical activities.

 

The Safety Professional will work closely with project leadership and contractors to monitor field activities, identify potential hazards, and ensure compliance with site-specific requirements and OSHA regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily onsite safety oversight for mechanical construction activities
  • Conduct field inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices
  • Review job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, permits, and safety documentation
  • Monitor high-risk activities, including crane and mechanical operations
  • Participate in safety meetings and assist with corrective-action follow-up
  • Maintain required safety records and reports

Qualifications

  • OSHA 510 required
  • Minimum of five years of construction safety experience
  • Experience working with a mechanical contractor is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
  • Excellent communication and hazard-recognition skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required 
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
