Safety Specialist - Second Shift | Wilkes Barre, PA

HazTek is seeking a Construction Safety Professional in Wilkes Barre, PA to provide on-site safety support for a campus-wide cabling project. Work includes running cable, adding new ports, and installing cable trays and tray hooks. Occasional core drilling will be performed by a mechanical contractor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site walks and monitor contractor activities for compliance with project safety requirements.

• Review work plans, identify potential hazards, and communicate safe work practices to crews.

• Partner with site leadership and contractors to address safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions.

• Participate in safety meetings and maintain required safety documentation.

• OSHA 30 certification required.

• Five years of construction safety experience; or three years of construction safety experience plus a CHST certification or relevant degree.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently during second-shift hours.

• Excellent verbal and written skills

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (four 10-hour shifts).
