We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Safety Manager in Clay, NY to lead field safety efforts on a complex construction project. This role requires a hands-on safety leader who can anticipate hazards, establish clear expectations, and work closely with project leadership and subcontractors to maintain a safe, accountable jobsite.
Semiconductor or data center construction experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with extensive general contractor construction safety experience will also be considered.
Provide daily field safety leadership across construction activities and multiple subcontractors.
Partner with project managers, superintendents, and contractor leadership to incorporate safety into work planning and execution.
Identify hazards associated with upcoming work and ensure effective controls are in place before activities begin.
Review job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, and contractor safety procedures for compliance with project requirements.
Conduct jobsite inspections and safety audits, communicate findings, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Monitor subcontractor safety performance and address unsafe conditions and practices promptly.
Support incident investigations and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Lead safety meetings and communicate expectations clearly to field personnel and project leadership.
Evaluate safety performance trends and recommend practical improvements.
Maintain safety documentation and promote consistent accountability across the project.
Qualifications
Direct-hire opportunity.
Base salary of $140,000–$200,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Work schedule: 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., plus Saturdays.
Salaried position with no separate overtime compensation.
Per diem or relocation assistance may be available.
