Many people believe that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) work independently of each other. In reality, these two agencies often work together.
The two agencies are coordinating efforts to implement responsibilities under Section 5 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Last month, the EPA and OSHA signed an agreement supporting coordination on chemical reviews and advancing worker safety.
