Congratulations to Safety Professional Jay Fonville who was recently honored as HazTek’s Employee of the Month for August 2021! Jay was nominated by Jennifer Teague, our Employee Relations Manager for HazTek’s Strategic Accounts group. Jay has been working on a project in California, where he works with multiple sub-contractors and has developed great rapport with the workers. His teamwork approach has earned him praise not only on his project, but also for his actions when he’s not at work. Jennifer had received a phone call from the manager of the hotel where Jay has been staying, letting Jennifer know how Jay had helped during an incident at the hotel. The manager explained that Jay was in the hotel lobby when he heard that someone needed help. With his background as a paramedic, Jay was able to assist the guest who needed medical attention. Jennifer applauded Jay’s actions by saying, “It is always great to get those kind of phone calls — knowing that we have such amazing employees, even off the clock, showing our core values. Jay has a positive attitude and is an amazing asset to HazTek!”
