HazTek is spotlighting Safety Professional Carlos Ruiz who joined our team this year. Carlos is known by a few other names, including Papa Bear to the football players he coaches, Shifu Kato Ruiz as a martial artist, and Big Safety on various construction projects. He is passionate about learning and teaching and has been doing so as a safety professional for over 25 years. Outside of work, he studies martial arts, which he began when he was seven years old. Carlos is currently studying his fifth style of martial arts and looking to achieve his second degree, called Tiger, on his Black Belt. He is an instructor — also known as a Shifu — for martial arts as well. We’re thrilled to have you aboard, Carlos!
