HazTek is spotlighting Safety Professional Mike Distefano who joined our team this year. When Mike first went into industrial construction, he said he broke every safety rule because he did not know any better — this was a big reason why he pursued a career in safety. Before working in the construction and safety industry, Mike earned his degree in the Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from Le Cordon Bleu. He spent eight years as a Trip Leader and cooked gourmet meals for people at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Another one of his passions is restoring vintage American made motorcycles in his free time. Some words that Mike lives by are, “Do the right thing when no one is looking and always treat others the way you want to be treated.” We’re so happy to have you aboard, Mike!
