HazTek is spotlighting Safety Professional William “WT” Smith, who joined our team last year and works out of our Strategic Accounts group. WT retired from the U.S. Navy in 2002, after serving for 22 years. Upon his retirement, he became a safety professional and has been in the safety profession for the past 20 years. He holds a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification and he is also a trainer in the OSHA Construction Outreach Training Program.

WT and his wife, Nita, have been married for 18 years and they have three children and eight grandchildren. Although he was raised on a horse farm in West Virginia, WT now calls Alabama home. For the past ten years, he has lived and worked out of his RV and comments, “My house is on wheels and I go where the work takes me — I love it!” Thank you for your service, WT.
