This week, HazTek is featuring several of our employees who have served — or continue to serve — in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Safety Professional Lee Downs served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and was a Petty Officer First Class. He joined the Navy because a buddy talked him into it. As part of the Naval Construction Force, better known as the Seabees, Lee was an equipment operator. He has many great memories and experiences from his service days — way too many to narrow it down to just one favorite. In the Navy, Lee was taught every wrong way to do something and this has helped him with his safety career.
