This week, HazTek is featuring several of our employees who have served — or continue to serve — in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Operations Manager Rob Olsen served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps for 8 years. He chose the Marine Corps because of a family tradition — he is a 3rd generation Marine and 7th generation service member. Rob’s favorite part about serving was the travel, especially sea duty where he gained his love of the ocean. Rob served as a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical (NBC) training specialist for his unit and was required to conduct annual training for the entire unit to ensure that new personnel had training in safety and record keeping. This experience sent him to additional schools and eventually led to an education in the field of safety.
