This week, HazTek is featuring several of our employees who have served — or continue to serve — in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Safety Professional Christopher Marshall served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and spent a total of twelve years on active duty and in the reserves. He had wanted to be in the Air Force since he was a child and — after overcoming a few hurdles — he joined the Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic. He took his first major flight in 1989, flying to California, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, and the Philippines. Christopher then transferred to the flying squadron as a Flight Engineer on the C-141B, the second largest aircraft in the Air Force. After graduating from flight school, his first flight was to the Middle East to participate in Operation Desert Storm. While Christopher has many great memories, his favorite is when he called his mother and grandmother from the air on Mother’s Day. The Air Force taught Christopher that “you get out of life what you put into it,” which has helped him throughout his safety career.
We are privileged to work with all of our veterans, and we appreciate the significant contributions that they bring to our company. Thank you for your service, Christopher.
