This week, HazTek is featuring several of our employees who have served — or continue to serve — in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Safety Professional CJ Rumpf served as an E-4 Senior Airman in the U.S. Air Force for ten years. CJ comes from a long line of military veterans, including his mother (Air Force, Vietnam era), his father (Army, Korean War), his grandfather (Army, WWII), and his great grandfather (Navy, WWI). His wife also served in the Air National Guard and recently retired after 23 years. CJ chose the Air Force because it is the most technological service branch, and the Air Force opened a lot of doors in his career. He deployed to Iraq from 2007 – 2008, where he “met some of the best people that [he] has ever worked with in his life.” Some of CJ’s favorite memories include meeting team members who became like family — and who he’s still close with to this day — and providing briefings on military operations to both President Bush and President Obama.
We are privileged to work with all of our veterans, and we appreciate the significant contributions that they bring to our company. Thank you for your service, CJ.
