HazTek is excited to share that Client Services Manager Herb Strong will be leading the HazTek Safety Panel for Southern States Automotive Contractors Association’s (SSACA) Auto Focus 2023 event in Charlotte, North Carolina. The annual summit is being held from March 1 – 2, 2023, with experts addressing key issues — and solutions — in the automotive industry.
Major capital construction programs and short duration shutdowns present different challenges to contractors and facility owners in creating, implementing, and administering safety programs. Safety cultures in facilities and on construction sites require engagement from the workforce to achieve the ultimate goal of a safe workplace. The HazTek Safety Panel will open with a review of automotive industry safety statistics and then dive into a discussion on solutions to improve work site safety.
Herb will be discussing safety best practices on capital projects and maintenance/shutdown work in the automotive sector. He will be joined by Craig Cansler, a PE and Regional Construction Safety Engineer for Toyota Motor North America. Representatives from Walbridge Construction and Boldt Construction will also be in attendance.
