In our recent HazTek Safety-In-Review e-newsletter, we featured an article from EHS Today titled, “SLC 2024 Preview: Learning Better Ways to Train Employees.” The article features an interview with Natalie Fox, a principal scientist at Roux and safety professional with more than 20 years of experience developing and implementing management systems. Fox explains the difference between good and bad training and how bad training focuses on checking boxes to stay compliant, rather than explaining the reasons behind the safety rules and regulations. Good training makes workers understand the full risk of the hazards they face.
