Talk to your kids about preparing for emergencies and what to do in case you are separated. Reassure them by providing information about how they can get involved.
Disasters happen everywhere, and every member of the family can prepare. Whether you’re a kid or teen yourself, a parent or loved one, or work with youth, Ready Kids has tools and information to help before, during, and after disasters. Preparedness for the future starts today.
Each year, National Preparedness Month (NPM) is recognized in September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time. The theme for this year’s National Preparedness Month is "Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love."
