Women in Construction Week | Spotlight on Margaret “Peg” Neville

March 9, 2022

HazTek Safety Professional Peg Neville started her career in safety and risk management early on, earning her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license while in high school and working as a Risk Reduction Manager for a Fortune 500 company while in college. She earned a degree in Environmental & Natural Sciences and continued on with graduate certificates in Construction Management and Environmental Public Health. With a residential construction background, she became interested in industrial hygiene with a focus on hazard communication for inhalation toxins at construction sites.

Peg is a NJ-licensed Registered Environmental Health Specialist. She has been recognized as a subject matter expert in lead and asbestos since 2010, teaching EPA certificate classes on lead and asbestos as a Principal Instructor. In addition, Peg is an OSHA Outreach Instructor. She joined the HazTek team 6 years ago and has been teaching a variety of OSHA classes including Construction Safety, 10- & 30-hour Outreach courses, OSHA 510, and HAZWOPER 40.

Peg is currently assigned as the Lead Safety Manager overseeing construction projects for one of our clients on a site in Central New Jersey. Peg’s background in public health, first response, and infectious disease contact tracing was a natural fit for our client’s COVID 19 response team. While overseeing and supporting a team of HazTek Site Safety Officers on the site, she also continues to instruct classes remotely for Rutgers School of Public Health – Center for Public Health Workforce Development.

Thank you for your dedication to HazTek and your continued commitment to education, Peg!
