The Certified Industrial Hygienist supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.

  • Conduct comprehensive workplace assessments to identify potential health hazards, including chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic factors.
  • Perform air and noise monitoring, exposure assessments, and ergonomic evaluations to quantify risks to employee health.
  • Develop and implement effective control measures to mitigate workplace hazards, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with management, engineers, and employees to develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to management and employees on occupational health and safety issues, including hazardous materials management, industrial hygiene best practices, and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on occupational health and safety practices, including proper PPE usage, chemical handling procedures, and ergonomic principles.


  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and ANSI standards.
  • Experience conducting workplace assessments, exposure monitoring, and ergonomic evaluations.
  • Degree in a safety related field preferred
  • Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required 
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
